I got to meet Mikayla and Rhys the week before their wedding, when we met to look around their Ceremony and reception location, but straight away I knew it was going to be good day! We had chatted on the phone but it was really nice to be able to meet in person, as we went over the wedding photography plans. Both Mikayla and Rhys were really open to ideas and we spent some time looking around the local area for different portrait locations (of course we only ended up only using two or three on the day (where did all that time go?))
The actual wedding day was fantastically relaxed with Mikayla and Rhys having the absolute best time, and when the Bride and Groom are having so much fun how can anyone else not? I had a big smile on my face all day 🙂
The ceremony was held at the old Willunga court house, a unique little spot with some great angles for photos and good wall to stand on for the group photo haha but really a good wall is preferable to an unsteady ladder. Later on everyone made their way to Russel’s Pizza, for drinks, awesome wood oven pizza and good company. I got to hang out for a few hours with everyone, as the sun set, grabbing Mikayla and Rhys for a quick night portrait before I left. Thank you very much for having me along as your wedding photography guys 🙂
